Employment Connections offers support to job-seekers, school leavers, their families/whanau and employers to help break down barriers to employment for disabled people and people with long-term mental or physical health barriers.

We work with people receiving a benefit, or who have a medical exemption to a job-seeker’s benefit.  We also help people who have a mental or physical barrier to employment lasting for 6 months or more.

Our transition service offers support to families and young people moving into the next stage of their lives. We believe that every young person has the right to pursue the path that is right for them, to test themselves, and with support, to leave school with optimism about their future.

Transition services are available to ORS funded students (Ongoing Resource Scheme), or sometimes through ACC.

We also work with people receiving ACC support due to injury to help them return to work, take part in their communities, and take control of their lives and finances.

With all our supported employment work we aim high. With te Triti o Waitangi as our core tenet, we believe every person in Aotearoa should have access to meaningful employment that allows them to develop personally and professionally, and to support their whanau and communities.
