We are looking for a Service Coordinator to join our team based in the Hutt Valley.


Community Connections is a community based support service with our key stakeholders being people with a lived experience of disability. We support each person to plan for their good life outcomes and we promote the rights of citizenship. Support looks different for each person with a focus on facilitating natural networks that endure. The aim being that people have the supports necessary to enable them to live in their own home, to connect with their community and to enjoy a fulfilling life.


This permanent position involves organising the delivery of support in partnership with the people who receive support. Hours of work are 40 hours per week. This position has the advantage of a flexible approach to planning work hours. Your working day will be interesting and involve lots of networking and engagement with a range of stakeholders. You will preferably have some prior experience providing management and leadership to a team of staff. Leading and managing an exciting and innovative team of staff is a key component to this role. You will be involved with new projects and exciting changes in the development of supports.

This role requires a confident communicator who is able to manage multiple priorities. You will have well developed administration and computer skills and be able to demonstrate your attention to detail in this area. You will bring a skill set of experience and/or qualifications that equip you to undertake this role and you will be self - directed and able to think strategically about required outcomes. You will be a confident person with excellent communication skills joining a great team environment and a great place to work. An understanding of bi cultural practice in Aotearoa New Zealand is important to this role.

As an employee of Community Connections you will be required to engage in ongoing professional development including our compulsory internal programme of learning. You will also receive ongoing support and supervision in your role.

Compensation for personal vehicle use is part of the negotiated salary package for this role.
